Pope Francis laid to rest Unlisted

The Vatican released a statment on the burial services, which took place after the funeral. The coffin was processed through the streets to the church of St. Mary Major, which Pope Francis chose to be his final resting place. 

The Vatican stated: "At 1:00 p.m. Rome time the rite of the burial of the coffin of the Roman Pontiff began. The rite took place according to the prescriptions of the Ordo Exsequiarum Romani Pontificis, presided over by the Cardinal Camerlengo, in the presence of those indicated in the relevant Notification of the Office of Liturgical Celebrations and of the relatives of the deceased Pope, and ended at 1:30 p.m."
