If you want to understand Pope Francis, you need to first understand the so-called Pact of the Catacombs -- a secret ritual that took place beneath the streets of Rome on the eve of the close of the Second Vatican Council, when a number of Council Fathers swore an oath to tear down the traditional Catholic Church and establish a "Church of the Poor", later Christened the Synodal Church of Accompaniment.
