A grandfather, and a friend of RTV in Ireland, writes a beautiful song, recalling life before the COVID lockdowns in Ireland. Officials in Minneapolis are understandably locking down the city this week, and the media are citing "lessons learned from January 6" for why this is necessary. Meanwhile, CNN is running regular reports on white supremacist domestic terrorism, claiming that "QAnon" is radicalizing the nation and that Fox News' Tucker Carlson is a gateway to a racist cult. Why is CNN still at war with Donald Trump when he's long since left the White House? Why are they ratchetting up the rhetoric against Trump voters, suggesting they're all dangerous domestic terrorists in the making? Were Trump voters calling for violence against law enforcement? In this Sunday Sermon from South Saint Paul, Father takes a look at the Gospel reading on the Transfiguration of Jesus on Mount Tabor.

This event, commemorated in the middle of Lent, speaks to the need to go through death and suffering that necessarily comes before the glory of heaven. Father draws the parallel, then, from the passion of Jesus Christ to the coming passion of the Mystical Body of Christ as evidenced by the coming Equality Act, which Father describes as a "whip that will be used to scourge the Church."

As a pastor of a parish that includes a Catholic grade school, Father breaks down the horrific ramifications of this Act where Catholic moral teaching is concerned.
